Wastewater Treatment & Recycling System for Zero Discharge
Client: Cotton Blossom India Pvt. Ltd., Perundurai
Textile Industry
All industries produce some type of waste product, either from production, maintenance or both. These hazardous and non-hazardous wastes need to be properly stored, treated and discharged to a sewer system or otherwise disposed of. Wastewater treatment is a multi-stage process to renew wastewater before it is discharged. The goal is to reduce or remove organic matter. Solids, nutrients, and other pollutants from the water in compliance with regulatory limits
Project Background
Discharge of Effluents cost & availability was the problem.
Discharges 600 cu.m per day of waste water having total dissolved solids of 6500 ppm.
80% of the water recovered & reused.
Solution
A conventional activated sludge would require a significant increase in plant area. A preliminary facility study determines that sequencing batch reactor would be cost-effective in meeting the above treatment objectives. Treatment incorporates reverse osmosis for reduction of dissolved solids. Treated Effluent TDS < 500 ppm.
Ecotex applied its expertise in commissioning the plant & was able to ensure customer satisfaction.
